Carrollton, TX | February 12, 2007

Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, Inc., parent company of T.G.I. Friday's® restaurants, was recently honored by Texas Governor Rick Perry, the Texas Association of Business (TAB), the publishers of Texas Monthly Magazine and the Texas State Council of Human Resources Management as one of the "Best Companies to Work for in Texas."

The event was the result of a statewide competition to recognize companies that were rated by their employees as one of the best companies to work for in Texas. The selection process was based on an assessment of the company's employee policies and procedures and the results of an internal employee survey.

"Carlson Restaurants Worldwide and T.G.I. Friday's restaurants provide a great place for great people to do great work," said Anne Varano, senior vice president of human resources and communication for Carlson Restaurants Worldwide. "To be rated so highly by our team members and recognized by Governor Perry and Texas business leaders is a great honor."

The program is a multi-year initiative to motivate companies in the state to focus, measure and move their workplace environments towards excellence.
