Angela Hornsby Honored With Elliot Group's 'Motivator of the Year' Award

T.G.I. Friday's restaurants today announced that Angela Hornsby was recently honored with the prestigious Motivator of the Year Award from Elliot Group, a nationally recognized executive search and strategic consultant for the hospitality, foodservice and manufacturing industries. The Motivator of the Year Award honors pioneering individuals who set new standards of excellence in the human resources field. The Elliot Group honored Hornsby at its private leadership conference in New York City on May 3. Hornsby, who was recently promoted to vice president of operations for the T.G.I. Friday's west division, was the former vice president of human resources for T.G.I. Friday's USA.
"Angela has played a key role in the success of the Friday's brand through her outstanding leadership and her dedication to the development of people," said Mike Archer, president and chief operating officer, T.G.I. Friday's USA, who presented the award on behalf of the Elliott Group. "Angela represents and lives the fun spirit of the T.G.I. Friday's brand."
An industry veteran with over twenty years of professional experience in the organizational performance field, Hornsby joined Carlson Restaurants Worldwide®, parent of T.G.I. Friday's, in 2001 and has provided expertise in the areas of organizational effectiveness, performance improvement, talent management, training program design and development and change management.
Hornsby is an active member of the Women's Foodservice Forum, where she serves and co-chairs various committees. She is also a member of the World at Work organization, the American Society of Training and Development, the Society for Human Resource Management and the Human Resource Executive Roundtable. Throughout her career, Hornsby has dedicated herself to organizational involvement, the development of others and mentoring future leaders.
