Carlson Restaurants Worldwide Names Vice President of International Development

Carlson Restaurants Worldwide Inc., parent company of T.G.I. Friday's® and Pick Up Stix® restaurants, today announced the promotion of Michael Beacham to vice president, International Development, Carlson Restaurants Worldwide.

"Michael has demonstrated a track record of success, outstanding franchise support and record new store growth for his regions with the Carlson Restaurants International team," said Richard Snead, president and chief executive officer of Carlson Restaurants Worldwide.

Beacham, who will report to the International president and COO of Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, and Chris Devlin, senior vice president of development for Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, has been a part of the Carlson Restaurants Worldwide International team for four years. Prior to that, Beacham was with The Hospitality Development Group as vice president of operations and development, opening up their international division for the former American Express affiliate. Beacham also served as director of operations and director of restaurants for Marriott Hotels Suites and Resorts and vice president of marketing for the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce. The New Jersey native graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy and was an adjunct professor of Restaurant Management for several NJ Universities.

Prior to joining Carlson, Beacham earned numerous awards for his innovative restaurant designs, was a well known public speaker on industry trends and was active in hospitality industry government affairs issues.
