CW Government Travel Wins U.S. Department of Justice Contract to Provide E-Gov Travel Services
Alexandria, VA | June 20, 2007
CW Government Travel (Carlson Wagonlit Travel), the government division of CWT and part of the Carlson family of
brands and services, has been chosen by the U.S Department of Justice to provide E-Gov Travel Services (ETS), a travel
and expense management system.
Carlson Wagonlit Travel, a premier supplier of ETS to the federal government, will use its proprietary E2 Solutions
product for all of the Department of Justice's travel needs, including planning and authorization, approvals,
reservations, vouchers, and reporting. The contract, estimated to be worth $43 million, begins with a base period
through November 2008, with agency options to extend the agreement through November 2013.
"The DOJ award represents a significant recognition that E2 Solutions is the best approach and value for the
government. We're eager to get started and will work hard to ensure success," said Scott Guerrero, executive
vice president, North America, CWT. "Carlson Wagonlit Travel anticipates a seamless transition to the ETS
environment for the Department of Justice."
In addition to the Department of Justice, CWT now provides ETS to the Department of Education, State Department,
General Services Administration Headquarters, Department of Labor, National Business Center, and a number of other
federal agencies.
CWT will begin implementation activities immediately. The project plan calls for a pilot testing program beginning in
early December 2007 and rollout of E2 Solutions department-wide beginning in March 2008. Implementation is to be
completed by September 2009.
Awarded the 10-year GSA contract in August 2003, CWT is one of only three travel providers chosen by the General
Services Administration to support ETS, one of the President's Management Agenda E-Government initiatives. The goal
of the E-Gov Travel initiative is to streamline and automate the travel process for government employees.
