Carlson Marketing Adds PayPal to Awards Redemption Options
Minneapolis, MN | November 05, 2009
To best serve the needs of its global clients, Carlson Marketing has teamed with PayPal to provide another redemption option for participants in client loyalty and engagement programs. Participants now can redeem their accrued program points for specific dollar amounts in their PayPal account.
Participants simply select the PayPal reward from an online catalog, and within minutes they will receive an email confirming the transaction. The participant can then use the funds in their account to shop online at any of the millions of retailers accepting PayPal, or send money to friends and family quickly .
"We're thrilled to provide this new option to our clients," said Patty Saari, vice president, Engagement & Events, Carlson Marketing. "As people are redeeming more for things they need rather than things they want, this helps them get something everyone can use.
"The relationship with PayPal provides ultimate reward flexibility for our clients and their program members," continued Saari. "This added feature provides a compelling offer of real-time, readily accessible rewards that more and more consumers expect."
"The combination of Carlson's global reach and PayPal's presence in 190 markets paves the way for customers all over the globe to benefit from this instant redemption capability," said Dan Schatt, senior director and head of Financial Innovations at PayPal. "Consumers will now have unprecedented access to the rewards they want, whether it's an airline ticket, a cash gift, a charity donation or something on eBay, with the PayPal redemption option available through Carlson."
"What really makes this partnership exciting and unique is that it not only allows Carlson to offer our clients and their participants an instant cash option within a point program," added Tracy Bailey, senior product manager, Engagement & Events, Carlson Marketing, "it opens the door for so many other possibilities for us in the incentive industry."
