Carlson appoints general managers for Radisson and Park Plaza hotels in Asia Pacific
Singapore | February 24, 2011
Carlson, a privately held, global hospitality and travel company, today announced three leadership appointments for its India and Thailand hotels. The three general managers appointed include Marco Seiler at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Hyderabad Banjara Hills, India; Martin Fabiano at the Park Plaza Bangkok Soi 18 and Veronique Sirault at the Park Plaza Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok in Thailand.
“Carlson is committed to rewarding its strong staff performers with career and growth opportunities,” said Simon Barlow, president, Carlson Hotels, Asia Pacific. “Marco was a key driver in the operational success of the Park Plaza Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok, where he was previously general manager. Under his stewardship, the hotel won several awards and was voted Bangkok’s most popular hotel by TripAdvisor, the world’s largest online travel community. He will now take on more challenges and responsibilities at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Hyderabad Banjara Hills.”
“I am also pleased that we continue to attract new talent in Martin and Veronique who share our vision of dynamic growth in India and Thailand, in support of Carlson’s Ambition 2015 growth strategy,” added Barlow.
“I am confident that all three newly appointed general managers will be great assets for Carlson in leading and motivating our hotel employees to achieve both operational success and the highest levels of guest satisfaction,” said Lyle Lewis, executive vice president, Operations, Carlson Hotels, Asia Pacific.
Marco Seiler will be responsible for the successful opening of Carlson’s first hotel in Hyderabad city, better known as one of India’s fastest growing information technology and biotechnology hubs.
Martin Fabiano has over five years of Thai hospitality experience in Bangkok. Prior to that, he had broad experience with several global hotel companies in Asia Pacific as well as other parts of the world. Fabiano was trained and educated at the Les Roches – Switzerland Hotel Management School.
Veronique Sirault takes over the leadership helm from Marco Seiler at the Park Plaza Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok. Sirault brings over 11 years of industry experience to Carlson. She has previous management experience in Thailand and a wealth of Asia experience, including China and India.
