Kathleen Kennelly appointed vice president, Traveler & Transaction Services, CWT Canada
Toronto | April 11, 2011
Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT), a global leader specializing in business travel management, today announces Kathleen (Kassie) Kennelly has been appointed vice president, Traveler & Transaction Services (TTS), CWT Canada, effective immediately. In her new role, Kennelly replaces Sherry Saunders, who was recently appointed senior vice president and general manager, CWT Canada. Kennelly reports to Saunders and Janet Wheatley, vice president, TTS, CWT North America.
Kennelly has more than 20 years of travel experience across program management and operations, most recently serving as senior director and general manager, leading CWT North America’s TTS commercial business in Phoenix. In addition to retaining those responsibilities, Kennelly now manages CWT Canada’s operational strategy and execution, including overseeing a team of more than 350 travel professionals responsible for providing exceptional customer service. Kennelly now is also a member of the CWT Canada Executive Team.
Saunders noted that Kennelly’s previous TTS experience lays a strong foundation for her new, expanded responsibilities. “Kassie has already proven her knowledge and understanding of the Canadian market,” Saunders shared. “I look forward to leveraging her strong leadership qualities to further expand and develop CWT Canada’s service capabilities.”
Kennelly said some of her immediate goals for CWT Canada TTS include increasing travel counselor productivity by further focusing on talent management and employee development, and working to advance the team’s Operational Excellence initiative, which centers on delivering even higher quality service and increased satisfaction to travelers.
“Kassie is an incredible leader,” Wheatley added. “Over the years, I have observed her ability to solve complex operational challenges while providing solid team leadership. Kassie will be a great addition to the Canadian team, and I also look forward to continuing our work together as part of her broader North American responsibilities.”
