New year celebration as CWT wins renewal of EDF Travel Management contract until 2018

Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) today announced that it will continue to manage travel for EDF, a global leader in the energy industry with 167,000 employees across 25 countries, for the next four years, following an extensive RFP process.

After being awarded the contract, CWT was commended for its true understanding of the client’s needs, the quality of service offered by its Traveler Services division, and its innovative and flexible approach to future service configurations.

The new contract will see CWT continue to manage the EDF Global Travel Program in France, Belgium, Italy and the UK, expanding its footprint throughout 2014. EDF has selected a single GDS, Amadeus, to fulfill transactions from one international service center, based in Saint Etienne, France. The unique and innovative solution is not only technology driven but also highlights the strength of CWT’s customer service which will continue to offer travel counselors who service offline EDF transactions – highlighting CWT’s harmonious combination of technology and service.
