Paul is a veteran of Carlson, currently holding the position of president, Carlson Asia Pacific. He is responsible for leading the coordinated development of all Carlson's business interests in the Asia Pacific region.

Based in Singapore, Paul leads the hotel, travel, marketing and restaurant operations in the region. He also serves as president, Carlson Hotels Worldwide, Asia Pacific, where he is responsible for the growth and development of Carlson's five hotel brands in this fast-growing region.

Prior to his current position, Paul spent 13 years with Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in various senior operational positions. In his most recent position as president, Paul drove the overall business operations and expansion of the mid-tier hotel brand around the world. He played a key role in developing Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in more than 300 locations while maintaining award-winning quality standards and earning a 98-percent guest return rating.

Before joining Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Paul served as general manager at Radisson hotel properties in Charlotte, NC and Lexington, KY. He began his career with Hyatt hotels in various operations positions.

Paul has been honored with two Carlson Fellows awards, representing the company's highest career achievements, in leadership and customer service. He is a past board member of the International Franchise Association and has written various articles for publication. His work, focusing on hotel operations and quality management, has appeared in Cornell Quarterly, Hotel & Motel Management and Lodging Hospitality.

Paul graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science degree.
